The Arabian Oryx, also called the White Oryx, is characterized by a white fur with black stripes between the horns, on the nose and on the inferior jaw, a shoulder bump and long straight horns (while the Scimitar-horned Oryx has long back-curved horns). Its legs are dark brown. Oryxes live in peaceful herds. They rest during the day heat and are able to detect rainfalls from very far and are able to range thousands of kilometers to reach them.
